6/29-7/8

The fantastic fishing has continued here in Vineyard sound for the last 2 weeks. I did another trip with my buddy Eric Staplefeld on Monday 6/29 and we continued to wail on the big bass. We had about 25 fish that day including a nice fish in the low 30lb range on both bait and his jigs.
I had another trip with Dave, Ed and Tom on the 2nd. We started down at Quicks hole and had a few nice fish, but thunderstorms were coming so we headed for the barn for about 30 mins and went back out and proceeded to wail on the fish once again including a 45 lb MONSTER bass that we released.
tripled up!I had another trip on the 5th and after a slow start we ended up with a dozen fish including a 35+ lb fish.

Monday the 6th I took my dad out to do some flyfishing and we caught some nice fish in the 25"-35" range including this one:
On the 8th I finally got to get out tuna fishing. With some talk of giants being around, we geared up the boat with the 130s and headed to the bay. after dodging the thunderstorms while catching bait, we set up at about 6am, and at 6:45 we got our first bite from a short(65") fish. the bites kept coming and by 845 we had released 6 shorts between 64-69 inches. before we could even get out our third bait we had the best bite of the day, and after 40 minutes we had an 85 incher tied off next to the boat! here are a few shots from the day:

First fish of the day 68"
